Blogging Tips Monetize Your Blog

Utilize Facebook Social And Blog Share Groups (Part 1) + Facebook Support Group List!

blogging tips, social media support, blogging support

If you are looking to expand your reach, get your content shared more often, and are interested in increasing your comments, I highly recommend that you join facebook groups in which members share each other’s posts on social media, as well as leave comments.

You should, however, follow a few rules before engaging in these groups:

  1. Most groups have specific days for specific threads. For example, some groups only allow you to share your blog posts on a specific day, while there are other days for comment threads, or facebook support threads. Become familiar with each groups thread posting time, so that you do not violate group policies
  2. Read the group description thoroughly! Many of these groups have very specific rules, such as the above-mentioned threads, or when you can ask for advice. Make sure that you are familiar with them, and do not confuse the rules if you are joining multiple groups
  3. Share other people’s content. Some groups require that you share or comment on each of the members participating in the individual threads, while others require you to share/comment on a specific number of member posts. Follow these instructions, and do not skip through a thread, even if you might not get caught. It is simply the polite thing to do, and it helps each member of the group to increase their reach.
  4. Leave meaningful comments. If you are participating in comment threads, be kind and leave thoughtful comments. I have seen groups that require a certain word count or have specific rules for comments, but even in those groups who do not have those types of rules, you should give your best comments.
  5. Only participate in some of the threads, in order not to get overwhelmed. It takes quite a bit of time to share content, and visit other people’s blogs and sites. Don’t commit to threads that you can not follow through.

22 Tips To Rock LinkedIn!

social media tips, marketing tips, LinkedIn

LinkedIn is one of those social media platforms that seems a lot more complicated than it really is.  There are however some rules that make your success on the platform more likely. In order for you to learn how to make the most out of Linkedin for your professional and business success, I have collected 22 tips to help you master this social media site.

It’s All In The Profile

  1. Have a professional, headshot only image as your profile image. Make sure that what you are wearing, and your background reflects your niche, and the niche standard. So a lifestyle blogger may have family images in the background, while someone working with tech should have a more “professional” look to the image.
  2. Make sure you use the right keywords in your profile, that fit your niche, in order to rank higher.
  3. Add a call to action to your summary. You can simply state something like: Connect with me on Wealthy Affiliate, by following this link, or tell people to check out your blog/website.
  4. Don’t forget to add contact info to your profile.

Linkedin Dont’s

  1. Don’t send spammy messages to your followers. You will be ignored.
  2. Don’t send spammy status updates. Instead, post articles and info related to your niche, and engage.
  3. Don’t engage in negative commenting. This is a professional network, not Facebook, where negative commenting is more acceptable – but even there you should not do that.
  4. Don’t post messages to groups that are not relevant to the group’s mission.
  5. Don’t ask new followers to endorse you. Allow them to get to know you first.
  6. Don’t use buzzwords. Words like Creative, passionate, driven and related words should not be used on Linkedin. Instead, write the way you would talk, but keep it short and to the point.

Increase Engagement

  1. Share industry news on a regular basis
  2. Ask questions related to content you posted
  3. Follow the same rules of commenting on the status of others, as you would with blog comments, meaning make it personal, make it relating the content shared, and make it more than just a few words.
  4. Directly ask for endorsements, and offer them in return, but only from those with whom you already had a relationship with – not your new followers.

Linkedin Longform Posts

  1. 22 Tips To Rock LinkedIn!Create a publishing schedule. Just like with your blog, regularly publishing a post, preferably on the same day every week, or every other week will make people look for your post.
  2. The ideal length of long form Linkedin posts is 600 to 1200 words.
  3. Include images. Just like with a blog post, make sure that you include engaging images into your post.
  4. Include a link to your website, services, or a social media platform within the content, or at the end of the content to increase further engagement.

Increase Following:

  1. Use the alumni feature for your high school and college to connect with more people
  2. Do not just simply use the standard connection request, but rather add some personal words to increase your chances of being accepted
  3. Take a moment to look at the profile of people who have looked at your profile. This is how you find out who looked at your profile: Click the Me icon at the top of your LinkedIn homepage, click View profile, and select Who’s Viewed Your Profile. Beneath your profile photo on the left rail of your homepage, click the number above Who’s viewed your profile.
  4. Be active. Spend 5 minutes every day to connect with people on Linkedin by leaving them comments, wishing them Happy Birthday, or pointing out something of value to them. Even if it is a professional social network, it is still social, and therefore you have to make a point to be engaging and easily approachable.

I hope you enjoyed these Linkedin tips, and are able to utilize them in order to increase your business and professional goals.

Use Tumblr to Create Affiliate And eCommerce Sales: 5 Tips

Tubmlr tips, affiliate marketing, eCommerce, sales, marketing tips

Is your target audience a millennial? Then you should not overlook the power of Tumblr to create affiliate commissions and eCommerce sales.
But in order to succeed on that platform, consider a few points, to effectively navigate on this unique platform.

1. Tumblr is a micro-blogging platform.
Essentially this means, you should not try to use it for long-form content, but rather create visual, short, and entertaining content that is easily shareable and grabs the attention of your reader instantly.

2. Tag your images properly
If you are still not using the alt tags on your images, you are doing yourself a disservice. This is even more important on a visual platform such as Tumblr. Always describe your images effectively in order for them to be picked up on Google images.

3. Proper amount of tags
Like Instagram, there is an appropriate amount of tags to be used for each post. For twitter it is three, for Instagram it is up to 30, and in Tumblr, the perfect amount is 7 to 12 hashtags. Any amount above that is considered spam.

4. Choose your name wisely
Spend some time on deciding which name fits your brand the best, but also speaks to your audience. I highly suggest that you look through the most popular Tumblr, and see what types of names work best with the millennial audience. If you are not a part of that age group yourself, I also suggest that you should run the idea by a few millennial friends, or your do a survey on one of your social media platforms that mainly focuses on this age group in order to find the perfect name for your brand.

5. Connect emotionally
Your audience is not looking for a constant display of items they should be purchasing, but rather an emotional connection with your content. Make them care about what you write about the content you promote and most importantly make them care about your opinion. Give them a reason to choose to go to your Tumblr over all of the other ones out there. The best way to do that is to evoke strong emotions.

4 Social Media Strategies You Should Implement Right Now

4 Social Media Strategies You Should Implement Right Now

Whether you are a blogger, affiliate marketer, or run a business, with an online presence, effective social media strategies can increase the traffic to your product, website, and blog. But, due to a large amount of social media platforms out there, and the constantly added features, and even more platforms, it has become essential to create an efficient social media strategy.

1. Automate as much as possible

Scheduling apps such as Buffer, and Tailwind (for Pinterest), and social media management sites, such as ManageFlitter (for Twitter) allow you to create a faster, more effective campaign that is right for your business. No matter if you are using a tool to schedule your social media posts to fit the best times to share, or using a tool to effectively follow influencers and your audience, they free your time and make managing the individual platforms easier and more effective.

2. Be Personal

4 Social Media Strategies You Should Implement Right Now - Learn more here: Click To Tweet
Social media platforms are foremost social, and thrive on personal interaction, rather than connecting only on a business and marketing level. Share personal insights, behind the scenes stories, and other posts, that highlight the softer “not- selling”side of yourself.

3. Provide new content on a regular basis

While it is okay to repost your old blog posts, it is essential that you keep on adding new content on a regular basis. Do not only post your own content but those of relevant influencers in your niche.

4. Keep Up With Social Media Trends

Updates, new features, and new platforms can create marketing opportunities that you can take advantage off. Keeping track of these updates and finding a creative way to incorporate them into your marketing efforts will allow you to become an innovative leader in your niche. Tailor your efforts to where your audience spends the most time, which can vary greatly depending on your niche.
