Why Every Creative Entrepreneur Should Take Creative Live Classes

Why Every Creative Entrepreneur Should Take Creative Live Classes

Finding inexpensive resources and classes that are actually worth your while, and do not leave you feeling like you have been ripped off, are hard to find. Some classes offered to newbie marketers, and entrepreneurs try to talk you into spending a lot of money upfront, enticing you that only through them can you learn the ins-and-outs of online business.

No matter if you are a creative person, with a crafting business, an artist, wanting to monetize your creations, or a small business owner, who is looking to increase their abilities on social media, Creative Live has an inexpensive, and comprehensive class for you.

Classes are available in the following categories:

  1. Photo & Video
  2. Art & Design
  3. Music & Audio
  4. Craft & Maker
  5. Money & Life

There are plenty of classes available to choose from in each of these categories. Also, via special offers, bundles, and promotions, it is easy to save quite a bit on the individual courses, which is especially wonderful when you are on a tight budget, or are new to the platform, and want to learn more without a pricey commitment.

Each course is given in video format by a very qualified instructor in their field, ranging from Lawyers to established entrepreneurs, bloggers and creative professionals. Courses often include printable resources, but that is up to the individual instructor, as well as the subject matter. You have the option to download your purchased courses or stream them on your PC or mobile device.

What I also love about the courses is that you have the opportunity to upload your coursework, sharing with other students and the instructors what you have learned throughout the given course. I like to see what other students have shared, and often find that an inspiration for my own work, or progress.

Creative Live” also offers a daily live stream of classes. If you want to get a feel for the classes offered without spending any money, you can easily watch an entire class or a section of a class live throughout the day. The website makes it easy to see which courses are scheduled to be broadcasted when, and from which instructor.

My favorite courses so far – from the ones I have taken were on Social Media Graphics, as well as on Pinterest Marketing. I will be sharing with you a detailed review of these particular classes soon, so you can see if they are a great fit for you and your business needs.

Here are some examples of classes offered throughout this month:

  1. Sell More With Instagram by Sue B. Zimmerman
  2. How Billionaires, Icons, and World-Class Performers Master Productivity by Tim Ferriss
  3. Effective Email And Newsletter Marketing by Jeff Goins
  4. How To Create Digital Products That Sell While You Sleep by April Bowles-Olin
  5. Optimize Your Online Store by Andrea Ayers

I am happy that I chose to purchase some of these courses, and will continue to get more courses as they come up. With this ever-growing content and the highly engaged instructors, I can only recommend Creative Live for the majority of your online business needs.

Bonus tip:

If you are completely new to the online business world but would love to learn more about how to get started, you can get my free one-on-one support. The Cons Of Affiliate Marketing

Many marketers and bloggers will tell you the positive sides of affiliate marketing, but today, I want to let you know what the con’s of affiliate marketing are, so you can make an informed decision on if this type of business is right for you.

1. It is not a get rich quick type of business.
If you are looking for a short cut when it comes to making money, affiliate marketing is not the right avenue for you. Affiliate marketing takes time because you need to build and audience and trust before they will click on your
links.

2. If you don’t like writing content, affiliate marketing might not be for you.
Content marketing is the best strategy to utilize when you are trying to build an affiliate marketing income. May it be via an email subscriber list – which requires you to write emails, or via blog posts, infusing affiliate links into content naturally, brings usually a higher click-through rate, than banners. Of course, you could outsource your content writing to freelancers, but considering that most blogs require you to write content 2 to 3 days a week to rank higher on Google, that can become an expensive strategy for the beginning affiliate marketer

3. It is time-consuming.
Building an audience for your blog and social media channels takes consistent and daily action. A new affiliate marketer should be willing to invest a lot of time to build his or her online presence and business. Also, marketing and niche research, which is essential is also time-consuming.

4. You Have To Wait For Your Money
Most affiliate programs pay out once a month, with some of them holding the commission back for one month, to allow the payments to clear, and any refunds to occur. This is not an immediate cash flow business and might take – even with a high sale volume, take a few weeks before you will see money arriving in your bank account or PayPal.

Despite what I have just mentioned, I believe that affiliate marketing is the best way for a beginner to make money online, as it requires the least amount of upfront expenses. To get started you need a website, and social media accounts to start applying for affiliate networks and partners such as Amazon, Target, Etsy, ShareASale and more.

ManageFlitter Review: An Effective Twitter Management Tool

social media tool, business tools,

I have recently discovered a great social media management tool, I wish I would have found earlier. ManageFlitter is my new favorite twitter management tool, to help me create an effective twitter presence.

Tailwind Visual Marketing SuiteAs most of you probably know, Twitter is not very keen on any account following more people than they are followed by. Twitter tends to look at these accounts as spam, but one of the most effective strategies to building a following is to follow and interact with people. In order to balance these both aspects, a Twitter management tool, allows you to go through the people who you are following, who are inactive accounts, as well as filter spam accounts and those with no profile image out of the bunch you are following.

It is a lot easier to keep your follow/follower ratio down, while still maintaining the ability to gain new and quality followers. There are many tools available to let you do this, but ManageFlitter is the most effective one, I have used so far. With the free account, you can unfollow 100 accounts every day. Not a bad deal for free.

Are you using a twitter management tool? Read about my top pick here: #BTRTG #smm Click To Tweet

ManageFlitter also has additional features for their paid account options. Not only do you have unlimited unfollowing features, you can also take advantage of account analytics, which allows you to see your influence, your own spam probability,  and keep an eye on how many followers you have gained (or lost).

In Tweet Analytics, ManageFlitter allows you to keep an eye on specific keywords, hashtags, and accounts you want to monitor to gain a more effective insight into any potential future connections or potential campaigns.

An additional business plan feature, I have not used yet, is the potential of creating a Power Post. Basically, it allows you to schedule an effective post (either their suggested content or one you write on your own), at what this management tool deems to be the best time for your particular twitter account. Because I use my upgraded Buffer account for all of my social  media scheduling, I have not taken advantage of this feature, but if you are unsure of when it is the best time to  schedule a post, this tool can be a helpful addition to your Twitter campaign.

Conclusion:

Overall I am very happy with the upgraded plan for my twitter account. While the basic account might be enough at the beginning, I purchased the upgraded (12 Dollar/ month) plan after a week of using the free one, because I did not want to be limited to 100 unfollows. That is simply not enough for me, but can make the difference for a small twitter account, and is a great way to get used to the ManageFlitter platform without having to make any commitment.  Like I mentioned in the beginning, I wish someone would have pointed me in the direction of this tool a long time ago, but better late than never. I hope, this little article will help you make the right decision for you when  choosing a social media management tool for twitter.

What The Heck Is A MLM Business?

What The Heck Is A MLM Business?

If you are looking for online business opportunities, the chances that you come across the term MLM are rather large. MLM’s are everywhere, but to a person to the online business world, this leaves one very large question: What the heck is an MLM business?

What Is A MLM Business?

MLM stands for Multi Level Marketing, which pays their entrepreneurs mostly via two strategies – selling products or  services, AND by recruiting other people into the business and often allowing them to get a share of the profits of their recruits. The term Pyramid Scheme is often related to MLM business opportunities, and while not all of MLM opportunities are scams, some of them are, so you should be vary about signing up for just any of these types of offers.

Examples of MLM Businesses

You have most likely heard of many companies, who are essentially following the MLM business model without realizing that they are. Some of them are not only established but have quite a good reputation. Here is a list of examples:

Amway (health, beauty, and household products)
Avon (beauty products)
Usborne Books (educational products)
NuSkin (skin care)
Herbal Life (health and nutrition)
Mary Kay (beauty products)
It Works! (skin care and nutrition)
Scentsy (candles and scents)
Ambit Energy (electric and natural gas)
Advocare (health and fitness)

As you can see, MLM businesses are found in a variety of niches and are often well known.

What The Heck Is A MLM Business? What To Look Out For:

Some of MLM companies are not legit and offer little to no value to those who they are trying to recruit. While not everyone will have the same results or experiences I have had with some of these companies, I will over the next few weeks try to highlight those who work and those who did not work for me.

1. What training do they offer?
The quality of training of these companies varies greatly. Some offer continuous training opportunities, and valuable  information, that can help you build a thriving business, while others will leave you with a simple PDF that has nothing to offer.

2. Upfront and continued cost
Almost every MLM has upfront costs, which in itself is not a problem. But many of them either do not give you valuable information or products in exchange for your money, or will ask you to pay a continued fee, and other payments, that promise more results. Make sure that you are informed about all costs – those to get started, and those who are continued costs.

3. Their focus is on recruiting not on selling
If the companies products are great, and worth their price, they tend to not push those signed up through their programs to push for new recruits, at least not right away. Other companies, however, push more recruiting, then selling, which should set off your alarm bells. These are very often not legitimate companies.

4. Lack of quality products.
Any good MLM company will allow you to sample their products and showcase their quality. If the product is not up to  high-quality standards, don’t sign up. Avon, for example, is known for their high-quality products, and it is easy to find someone who had good experiences with the company.

Conclusion:

MLM business opportunities are not all bad, as some want to make you believe. But, in order to make these types of businesses profitable for you, you must do your research.
I personally suggest that you should diversify your online business, by using a variety of passive income models, such as affiliate marketing, drop shipping, or Kindle publishing, as well as working with MLM companies.

Watch out for more detailed reviews on specific MLM companies, over the course of the next few weeks!

What Is Fizzle – An Insider Review

What Is Fizzle - A Insider Review

Interested in learning more about creating a viable online business? Finding answers to the questions that arise when beginning in the development such business is not always easy, and requires research and time. Fizzle.co can help you answer those questions, and build a solid foundation to build your idea from. But what is Fizzle exactly, and how can it help you on your journey? I have tried the platform out for you, and taken many of the offered lessons, to give you an insight.

What Is Fizzle?
Fizzle is a learning platform, accountability space, and active forum designed to help those who are in different phases of developing an online business, no matter which form this business takes.

Pro:
If you are a visual learner but love following along with worksheets and checklists, Fizzle offers both. The entertaining videos, are very informative and up-to-date (unlike some of its competitors), and in-depth, building
upon each other. The often included PDF’s and worksheets are well designed and get straight to the point. There is not much fluff there, which is, in my opinion, a waste of time, anyway. I am someone who is action oriented, and Fizzle is as well, therefore it is perfect for someone who wants to take massive actions in their business creation.

The dashboard and interface of the site are easy to navigate. The forum is in contrast to the dashboard light, and welcomingly bright. I like that the founders of the program seem to be active on the platform as well, and are open to answering any question you might have.

What is Fizzle

Unlike Wealthy Affiliate, Fizzle is not limited in subject matter to just affiliate marketing. This platform is applicable for every form of internet-based business, from selling your own product, to drop shipping to affiliate marketing, blogging, or whatever else you can come up with. I love that.

What I also love is, that lessons from true entrepreneur giants, like Pat Flynn are included. Exclusive content on email marketing, building traffic, and network building are what keep me coming back, as well as the constant new lessons, that are added.  at 35 Dollars a month – after a 30 Day free trial – the platform is worth every penny.

What is Fizzle
Con’s
Unlike Wealthy Affiliate, Fizzle does not include hosting, and it is a lot less social, because the forum is kept separated from the lessons, while in WA it is all integrated, and connection happens within the lessons, on the personal blog posts, and via questions asked. This can be both a negative and positive side, depending on what kind of learner you are. If you easily sidetracked, Fizzle is easier for you to stay focused upon.
Another thing, that is a small downfall of Fizzle, is that they only offer a down-scaled version of an affiliate program. You can not make any money referring people to Fizzle, but you do get a discount on your membership, for each referral, which is nice.
Wealthy Affiliate, on the other hand, allows you to make money from each new premium subscriber, for the time of their membership. This can add up quickly.

Conclusion

I really like Fizzle, because of the less distractive nature of the platform. I am there to learn, and only have to socialize when I want to. Yet, there is peer support, and accountability if you are looking for them, available anytime. That alone is nice to know, even if you are not taking advantage of that often.  If this platform would offer hosting like Wealthy Affiliate had, I would switch completely to that program. I am not new to internet business, so Fizzle offers me more flexibility while keeping me interested and challenged. That is something Wealthy Affiliate lacks at times.

So, if you already have reliable hosting, and are looking for great lessons on how to build your business, you should give Fizzle a try. You can start your free trial by following this link.

What is your favorite platform for learning about business? Please share your recommendations below.

Make A Few Extra Dollars With Fusion Cash – A Review

Make A Few Extra Dollars With Fusion Cash - A Review

Survey Sites have been around a while, claiming to make you money, simply by you filling out a few surveys. One of the better sites, in this field, is Fusion Cash. Now with better sites, I mean you can actually make a few dollars (emphasizing on a few), but even if you are taking advantage of all of the details, you will not get rich.

Ways to Make Money With Fusion Cash:

Surveys

Free Money at FusionCash! You can fill out the surveys listed, and if you are approved you get paid – from a few pennies, up to a few dollars. Those who make you the most money, want you to give them your credit card information – something I do not recommend, for anyone to do, ever! Some of the legitimate surveys, allow you to repeat them every day, which is cool, others are only  offered once. I have had a few surveys get stuck in the middle, or even at the end, and did not get a credit for them. After investing about 10 minutes of my time, that was a frustrating conclusion.

Daily Email

There is a daily email, you can sign up for, which will pay you 2 cents, if you open it, and follow the instructions. Usually the task is to look at a short video, and put in a phrase into the appropriate box. It does not take much time, so I do it every day, when I am already checking my mail anyway.

Paid To Click

Another way to earn a few pennies toward your cashout limit is to go to the paid-to-click section of the FusionCash site.  There you will be asked to click on a few pages (usually four), and then to click on one of the sponsored ads.  You will then receive your 5 to 20 cents, which you can repeat daily. Again this does not take long, and you can do that while you are doing something else. If you are concerned about clicking on adds, Fushion Cash (and that goes only for Fusion Cash), carefully vets their advertisments, so you can trust them. Of course, always use caution, and never enter any personal information into those advertisements. You do not need to, to get your bonus anyway.

Watch Videos, Play Games, Take Quizzes

There are additional opportunities, such as watching videos, answering quizzes, and sharing slide shows via social media. I have personally not tried out these options because I simply do not like quizzes, but I know a few people who do and have tried it, with some positive results. Again, if you have the time, and like doing quizzes, or watching videos, this might be an option for you

Referrals

The last way to make money on Fusion Cash is to refer others to the site. You will receive money when a referral verifies their email, and whenever they cash out. As long as you don’t over-promise the results and make the site look like it is something that it is not – a great way to make a lot off extra money, instead of the reality, that you can make a few dollars to feed your Starbucks habit – I don’t see any problems with making money this way. I try to make sure that every site I refer someone to, I am not simply doing it because it makes me money, but because it actually will benefit you in some way, and consider that ethical. But if and how you choose to take advantage of that, is up to you.

Free Money at FusionCash!Conclusion:
Fusion Cash is a legitimate and safe site to make a few extra dollars. It is free to join, and you will not asked to pay anything to Fushion Cash at any time.  Do not expect to make a fortune. My balance for this week is 9.86 US Dollars for activities, and surveys. This total does not include referrals.  That is about what you can expect for a few minutes of your time every day unless you have way too much time on your hands.

points to get the most out of the program.

1. If you are looking for a simple hosting service, that works with WordPress, but you have already experience in Affiliate marketing or have other passive income experience, you should consider skipping the program and host with another service such as BlueHost. While there are many positive parts to Wealthy Affiliate, for hosting services alone it would be too expensive for one site.

2. Now if you are planning on hosting more than one site, Wealthy Affiliate is a deal. With the membership, you can host up to 25 websites, without paying any extra. Each of them includes support, emails for your domain, and continuous updates, as well as great security. Growing Your Small Home Business: 7 Time Management Tips

Growing Your Small Business - 7 Time Management Tips

Working from home, especially when you have children in the house requires planning, discipline and a strong will. Organizing your day, to make the most out of your already limited time is essential. I have compiled a list of 7 Time Management Tips for you to be in control of your day, and not the day be in control of you:

1. Set an priority for every day – some planners (if you choose to use one)  even come with a space for your daily top three  now. if you do not have a planner or are using a different planning technique than write or print out a piece of paper and hang it somewhere where you can see your top three  often. Post-it notes work very well for that, also.

2. Set a time limit for each task – figure out how long a task should take, and set a timer. That way you can stay on task and focused, and do not begin daydreaming or become overly perfectionistic about a certain task. It is easy to get lost in the mountain of unanswered emails, or spent hours reading up on other blogs in your niche, but that is not necessarily the best use of your time.

3. Schedule an “Get Organized” Time, daily – every day, may it be mornings or evenings (I prefer evenings) go through your calendar (take 10 minutes, see point two), and organize your next day. Put it on paper, mark your priorities – see tip one, and you will begin your next  work day much more productive and organized. This is also a good time to check the weather forecast and lay out your clothing (and that of your children, if you have young kids).

get organized4. Set goals, write them down and be concrete. With that I mean, goals with deadlines, write all of them down, take once a year to set your goals (or once a quarter, if you are a planner like me, but your plans tend to change due to opportunities, and family members responsiblities).

5. Set up a routine, with a check list. In order to go over those moments you are dragging your feet, create check lists and routines for each and every section of your day as much as possible. It is easier to keep on moving through your required actions (especially if you are new to working from home), and still get everything done, that needs to be done. When working at home or from home it is easy to allow yourself to get sidetracked, and controlled by outside circumstances. Checklists and routines make it a lot easier to stay on task. A great idea is to create a bullet journal type tracker, or use an electronic app, that allows you to mark off each tasks.

6. Delegate – this is a step that is hard for many people, especially for some stay at home moms, but I highly recommend, that you learn to delegate. There is only so much you can do throughout your day, and it is not a shame to ask for help. May it be by inlisting spouse, kids, family members, or hire someone to do routine business tasks. Start with those actions that others can do easily for you, and then move onto those tasks you hate do to the most – the latter tasks are the first ones you should consider hiring someone to do for you.

7. Get up early – starting your day early, especially when the house is quiet, and there is no one else awake, can give you a heads up on your daily to do list. May it be to take the time to do your self-care routine, such as meditation and gratitude journaling, or may it be to do some tasks you would otherwise not be able to complete, getting up earlier can help you achieve more.

Growing Your Business - 7 Time Management Tips

Whether you are choosing to make money via blogging, are working on your creative business, or are on your way to becoming an affiliate marketer, the beginning of a business adventure can always seem overwhelming. Getting organized from the start, will make this process easier for you.

Tools I recommend:

Evernote: This platform allows you not only to create to-do lists, and notebooks to keep all of your information in one place, you can also use this platform to collect  webpages via its browser extension. It is a tool, I use daily, even though I do most of my planning on paper.

Filofax Planners:* Filofax planners are the planners of my choice. They are sturdy, compact, and flexible, while allowing me to plan my day the way I see fit. And they look good.

Planner Inserts:* While you can create your own inserts for your planners, I prefer those made for me. KaelisAccessories makes beautiful and functional planner inserts for various planners, including Filofax. Her Etsy Shop is located here

Planning and Organizing Tools - Stabilo Pens

Stabilo Pens:* While I am not one of those planners who love to use stickers and pretty pictures everywhere,
I do love color-coordinating my notes, in order for them to grab my attention. The best pens for that are in my opinion Stabilo Fine Tip pens. I love to write with these smooth pens, because they do not bleed, unlike some other ones out there, while offering more color choices then traditional ball point pens do.
